Eccosorb and other microwave absorbing materials


We offer Emerson and Cuming Eccosorb microwave absorbing material in 6 different flavors. It is a carbon-loaded, broadband, open-cell foam absorbing material. This material can be cut with a sharp knife, and it can be bent a moderate amount to conform to requirements.

We offer the following six different versions:

HR-10 foam, which absorbs frequencies above 30 ghz  click for documentation of HR foam

HR-25 foam, which absorbs frequencyes above 10 ghz  click for documentation of HR foam
AN-73 foam, which absorbs frequencies above 7.5 ghz  click here for documentation for AN foam
AN-74 foam, which absorbs frequencies above 3.5 ghz  click here for documentation for AN foam
AN-75 foam, which absorbs frequencies above 2 ghz  click here for documentation for AN foam

To be useful, all foam must be backed on the other side by conductive metal, like a chassis box or aluminum tape. We cut this foam to our standard size of (approximately) 6" x 6" (15cm x 15cm). Cost is $0.20 per square inch, or $US6 for our 6" x 6" standard piece. If you need larger sizes, ask and we might be able to provide what you want.
